Documents required for France Visa Application:

Original Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into France with a minimum of two blank pages

Copies of old passports or old visas (if available)

A duly completed and signed France visa application form

Two recent colored photographs as per France visa photo specifications - against white background taken in the last 3 months, 35 mm X 45 mm in size, matt finish, and 80% face coverage

Bank statement of last 6 months with sufficient balance; updated and attested

Income Tax Returns or Form 16 for the last 3 years

Confirm return flight ticket

Confirmed hotel reservation

Cover Letter – explaining clearly your purpose of the visit

Travel Insurance (minimum coverage of EUR 30,000)

Daywise travel itinerary explaining the trip

If you are employed:

Employment certificate
Leave permission from the employer
Leave sanctioned certificate
Last 3 months' salary slip
Bank statements for the last 6 months
Income Tax Return form or TDS certificate

If you are self-employed:

Copy of business license or Proof of business registration
Updated company bank statement for the last 6 months
Company income tax returns for the last 3 years
Visiting card

If you are a student:

Proof of enrolment
NOC from the educational institute where enrolled
School or College ID card

If you are a minor:

Birth certificate
France visa application signed by both the parents
Cover letter signed by both the parents
No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parents
ID proof of the parents

If you are retired:

Proof of retirement
Pension statement

If your visa is being sponsored:

Sponsorship letter
Sponsor ID proof
Updated bank statements

If you are visiting friends or family with a France visitor visa -:

Letter of Invitation
Attestation d’accueil (a hospitality certificate issued by the French authorities of your host’s city of residence in France)
Passport or Resident Permit copy

Engagement or Wedding invitation card
Wedding photographs

Invitation letter from the French company

If you are applying for a France Work Visa:

CV or resume
Copies of academic certificates
Experience certificate from past employers

If you are applying for a France Transit Visa:

A valid visa for the country you are traveling to
Flight ticket to your destination country

If you are applying for a France Student Visa:

Proof of admission to an accredited university or educational institute in France
Accommodation proof (letter from the hostel authorities or lease agreement if staying at a private residence)

Note

Proof of civil status like a Marriage Certificate or a Death Certificate of the Spouse, etc., and supporting financial documents such as Fixed Deposits, Share Certificates, Property Investments, and any other Investments, etc. are optional and may be asked for.

Personal Appearance is mandatory at the Visa Application Center (VAC) for the biometrics and document submission.
